Welcome to Barefoot Studio
Barefoot Studio opened its doors in 2005 and was co-founded by Karen Ingram and Paula Wooding. We are a Pilates Studio, Wellness Centre and Activewear Store just outside Cowbridge, about 15 miles West of Cardiff.
Our philosophy is simple, to bring everything together under one roof to help you enjoy an active lifestyle. We believe that movement should be free from pain and above all joyful. Our approach is warm and will relax you as you build strength and flexibility from the feet up. Life is a journey full of movement and we want to enjoy every minute of the ride!
Barefoot Studio is one of the leading Pilates studio’s in the UK. We have an unrivalled team of therapists and a shop that has a cool collection of women’s activewear, to help you enjoy a healthy and happy lifestyle. We specialise in women’s performance clothing that looks and feels great. We love kit that really works, keeping you warm or cool and that works with your body, whether you run, stretch, trek, Nordic Walk, or just relax. That's what we wear so that's what we sell!

As for Nordic Walking, it gives you the opportunity to get outside, meet new people, usually followed by a coffee and always good conversation, it's exercise but not as you know it.”
Other than Pilates, Debbie’s big loves are, chocolate, prosecco, most animals, especially her beautiful ridgeback "Bella" and a good chat, hence the Nordic Walking.

Siobhan is a Peak Pilates Level 1 instructor and teaches both Mat all levels and Fundamentals.

I found it very beneficial and rarely suffer with neck or backache anymore. I love sharing the benefits of Pilates with others. I particularly enjoy teaching those that are new to Pilates and seeing them reap the benefits and grow to love Pilates as much as I do” When Siobhan is not teaching or practising Pilates she likes to attend HIIT classes, get out and about walking in the wonderful Welsh countryside, creating delicious culinary treats and travel.
