Sue Curtis-Jones BSc (Hons) CTA MSc, UKCP, UKTA, HPC, BAOT

Clinical Psychotherapist

Sue is a qualified psychotherapist and is Certified Transactional Analyst with an MSc in Psychotherapy.  She has worked for the NHS for many years specialising in mental health

What is Psychotherapy?

An analyst is a psychotherapist who has done a particularly intensive form of long term training with one of the training bodies authorised to confer the title of analyst.  Phychotherapy provides a safe and confidential setting in which to explore thoughts, worries, feelings, memories and fantasies.  It enables you to gain a greater understanding and insight into your thoughts and feelings, providing you with new perspective and allowing you greater range of choices within your life. The emphasis is upon helping you to find your own answers within a safe and accepting environment.  It helps you unravel the stuck areas in your life and provides support with difficult feelings during difficult periods, such as bereavement, or relationship difficulties.  Helping you to sort out your priorities and make clear choices about the future.

The overall aim is to understand the unconscious origin of difficulties and how these repetitive patterns impact upon our relationships and in the here and now.
